Bread Pudding
(my grandmothers recipe)
Break stale bread into Bowl and pour boiling water
over it and soak. If too wet squeeze some water out.
The amount of bread doesn't really matter. Just add
a bit more sugar etc. if you have lots.
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
1 egg
1/2 tsp Baking soda
melted shortening
raisins,currants,choc.chips
ginger,cinn,nutmeg,cloves
dribble molasses
I just stir all in a bowl.
Slow oven 1 1/2 hours.
sprinkle sugar ontop while hot.
Your can eat this hot or cold.
Pan size depends on how much bread you use.
